About UpliftingData

At UpliftingData we are dedicated to using data to do good in the world.

To some people, data is daunting. For us, it’s a delight; a goldmine of information – rough diamonds that once polished can provide dazzling insight.

Getting there isn’t always easy. Big data might be sexy, and new algorithms and approaches are becoming available all the time; but we temper those cutting edge analytic techniques with tried and tested experience and knowledge.

We help charities, social enterprises and community groups understand and manage the information that they have.
And then draw from that information the insights that allow them to flourish.

He helped found the Insight Special Interest Group at the Institute of Fundraising, which he now chairs.
He is a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, and serves on various advisory boards within the charity sector.

Klara Sankova

Analyst
Klara has been involved with data from all possible angles throughout her career. Her very first job as a statistics collector gave her a good understanding of the organic, labour intensive and messy processes involved in acquiring and storing data. She is experienced in survey creation and in how to interpret survey results. Klara has also been responsible for setting up and maintaining several databases and has initiated optimising and automatizing a number of them.

At UpliftingData she is excited to be implementing “out of box” methods that she learned whist studying for her masters degree in Cognitive Informatics in Prague.

Being able to combine cutting edge analytics with supporting good works of charities is a dream come true for Klara.
